Track & Driver Rules

This is a family-friendly track and environment — please respect that.

Zwartkops RCX — zero tolerance

All participants, crew, family, friends, spectators and supporters will first abide by the Zwartkops Raceway rules. Certain IFMAR/SARDA rules may be enforced at the discretion of the Zwartkops RCX Race Director.

There will be no fighting, no foul language, and no arguing with track officials or fellow competitors. No unsportsmanlike conduct, shouting or swearing at marshals.

Anyone caught doing any of the above, or associated with it, will be asked to leave the premises immediately and forfeits their entry fee and any other fees paid.

Drivers must sign the drivers’ register on arrival, before driving on the track. This is not negotiable for any driver.

Please use the bins in the pit area and keep your area clean at all times. All track shop tabs must be settled in full before leaving the track. Please take note of the no-smoking areas.

A — Drivers

Respect on the stand and in the pits.

Drivers respect each other and everyone around them, including the marshals, at all times — racing on the track or in the pit areas.

No driving the wrong way up the pit lane. Class rules may apply at selected events (IFMAR, SARDA) — come prepared.

Drivers are responsible for the behaviour of their pit crew, and for making sure the crew know the pit lane rules. Unsportsmanlike behaviour is penalised; repeat offenders are asked to leave.

B — Pit lane & pit crew

Stand in your numbered box.

A maximum of TWO pit crew per driver in the pit lane.

Pit crew stand in the numbered pit box that matches the driver’s position on the stand — driver in position 4, crew in pit box 4. Not negotiable.

Stand behind the yellow line in your box unless you are working on the car, refuelling or repairing. Remove all items as soon as your driver’s race is over, and take no equipment into the pit lane until the previous crew has cleared the box.

Drivers are penalised for pit crew who do not follow these rules.

C — Pit area

All under-cover pit areas, the pit lane and the drivers’ stand are strictly NO SMOKING. Smokers please use the clearly marked smoking areas.

Pit tables: members are allocated one table per person; additional tables can be booked at R75 per table per event or day. Tables below the first level are first come, first served. Please use a pit mat on rented tables.

Plug points are available — bring your own extensions and multi-plugs. LiPo batteries must be charged in safe LiPo bags. Keep your pit area clean and safe; bins are provided.

Parking: all vehicles must be parked in the parking area outside our track gate. Please do not park inside.

D — Sale of products at Zwartkops RCX

Sale of products by any importer, reseller or online store is strictly prohibited at the track without prior consent — email info@zwartkopsrcx.co.za.
